It's an easy process but time consuming. If you have a DVD burner, burn your music to the DVD's. Remember to check the DVD before deleting your music off of your hard drive. Then do the same for pictures and whatever else you want to save.

Then put in the OS disk that came with the PC and it'll run itself. The time consuming part is the backup, but the rest is simple. For the games, just reinstall once the system is up and running.

There you go.

First and foremost, you need your install disks. Now, about the files you wish to save, just put those files in a USB Mass Storage Device. The games you can redownload, i am assuming. But the games cannot be transfered onto a drive. Music, documents, and others. If you do not have your restore CD disks, then i suggest you order it from the manufacturer of your computer. The drivers should come with the manufacturer's restore disks.

Once you have the disks and backed up the files, Go ahead and put the cd in your cd drive, and restart the computer. In the boot screen, you should have an option to boot from disk (may vary, depending on manufacturer). From there, just follow the directions and you should do fine. Videos on Youtube and othersites like those can aid you.

you most likely got a CD that will completely restore you computer to brand new, deleting all of your stuff. So you need to save the things you want on a flash drive then reboot with the CD. after that you just transfer the things from the flash to the computer and you should be good.

have you ever tried booting in risk-free Mode? suitable when you turn your laptop on, there must be some thing that declares like Boot Menu F2 or some thing(it extremely is many times F2 or F8). besides circulate to the boot menu and decide to start up the laptop with risk-free Mode without Networking. If the laptop starts off, you are able to then manually attempt to do away with this technique and then see if it boots up. EDIT: additionally, it does not unavoidably mean this technique substitute right into a plague, in spite of what many all human beings is saying. you have had a plague on your device, in a intense Widows record needed for startup, and the antivirus application might have quarantined that record, and now homestead windows does not have get entry to to it and thuis it won't boot.

System Restore wouldn't make a difference anyway. You can back everything up onto disk or flash. You will need an OS disk to reinstall.

Looks like there is only one way, you will have to re-setup your computer and transfer all your songs, games and whatever you want from your main drive which is C drive. To other local drives of the computer, for example: E drive, D drive etc. Then give setup in your computer and it will be back as new. And none of your songs and games won't be deleted if they are not on C drive.

Hi. Your best bet is to buy an external drive and copy all of you Documents and Settings, programs, pictures, music, etc. to the other drive, Then disconnect it. Use your original install disk and select "Reformat". Keep the files you want on the external drive and just copy back what you want, Documents ad Settings in particular.

After you've reinstalled Windows and set it up exactly the way you want, you may want to invest in Norton Ghost or Acronis True Image to make backup CDs of your installation the way you like it, so you don't have to reinstall all the drivers and set up everything again if something should go wrong again.

Best bet would be to totally wipe out all your memory; and save all the things you want on CDs or a Flashdrive. I don't know if you should completely delete all the memory; just go to Control Panel and delete what you don't need!

Save everything important to a USB drive or a disk, and if you want to save pictures upload them to Photobucket or something. I don't really think you're going to be able to save games, just reinstall them.
