Download Revo Uninstaller. It's free. It is the fastest and easiest way to clean up your pc.

You can download it here: http://www.revouninstaller.com/

Under TOOLS: Optimizations > Autorun Manager

Check if there are too many Applications running at startup. Disable/Uncheck those that you don't require.

You can clean up junk files from your computer.

Under TOOLS: Use the Junk Files Cleaner , Browser Cleaner, MS Office Cleaner, Windows Cleaner..

This will definitely make your PC run faster

I work 8 hours a day - 5 days a week- plus being a single mom to an active 10 year old daughter, bowl, bike, tennis, movies, daughter and I put puzzles together and play board games, shop, cook and clean house. About twice a month I go out with a friend to a concert, play or dinner. No clubs, I don't like all the smoke. I call my mom once a week and talk at least an hour each time too.

Out of those programs there are not too many you can take off with your requirements. If you need to speed up you computer, Here ore some things to try:

Right click on My Computer and click Preferences. Click on the advanced tab then click settings under performance. You can adjust the visual effects to help speed up a little. Also in the Data Execution Prevention you can disable that to speed things up a bit, but it is only recommended to as a last resort as it can make you more vulnerable to viruses and other threats.
