Question:
1. Second fan on graphics card doesn't detect/work 2. PC 'randomly' crashes/blue screens/refuses to start (I/O errors?)?

Hey.

I have multiple questions so, instead of making two separate questions, I'll ask both here. Any help is greatly appreciated.

Recently I bought a premade gaming PC. It was all good until I noticed the GPU temperature has been going up more than it should be, so I decided to open the case and check it out and I noticed only 1 of 2 fans works.
A few months ago I went to investigate it further, and downloaded some software that told me stuff about the drivers and the computer itself, and there I saw only 1 GPU fan was detected.
It's also not all too specified what the GPU even is, as Speccy only says 2048MB ATI AMD Radeon R9 200 Series.

Now, my second problem.

When I turn the PC on early in the day, it tends to crash, sometimes as a BSOD with KERNEL_DATA_INPAGE_ERROR, as soon as a 'more demanding' operation starts (such as entering a game, though yesterday it even crashed while I was watching a YouTube video...) and more often than not refuse to start and only show the error:

A disk read error occurred
Press Ctrl+Alt+Del to restart.

It only starts after a few restarts, and the error goes away, and then it proceeds to 'check both C and D disks for consistency', separately.
If it's any help, not very familiar, but the words 'I/O Error' keep popping out, as in sometimes Skype crashes, just before the whole PC.
Sometimes it also freezes with random colours, that were on the screen before it did crash, across the screen in lines.

when was the last time you downloaded drivers from ATI for the card?

Edit_

if you donwload and install the latest drivers, you should also install CCC (catalyst control center) when you can turn the fans up/down (usually, depends on the card) from within CCC in the overclock section (don't overclock it), this will indicate to you if the fan is working, when you turn it up (have a look) or it's broken. if it does not come on, the heatsink needs to be changed or a new graphics card, because it will cause the card to overheat in certain areas like the MOSFET, Voltage regulatorsm, or the dedicated memory etc.

well you keep running the machine with only one working fan and it is damaging your system.

the fan that isn't working - you should follow the wire to the plug, unplug it, and then re-plug it in. --make sure the computer is off. See if the fan is detected. If not, I'd just go old school and leave the computer open, aim a desk fan in there...and keep it like that.

If the computer is new it will be under warranty. I would contact the support line of the system builder for both problems as it seems you have hardware problems - the disk read errors are of concern and could indicate a faulty hard drive.

Before you do that download crystaldiskinfo from here to test the hard drive for SMART errors.
