I want to know what would be a good inexpensive video card to play Half-Life 2 that would work with my computer. I have 547 MHZ, 488 MB of Ram and Pentium III. Also, where would be the best place to get it.

TridentXP Cyberblade from TRIDENT MICROSYSTEMS. Its the best card for your configuration and cheaper and runs cooler than any other GeForce or ATI cards I have experienced. Its made for long playing hours, supports True colour(32-bit) and a screen resolution upto 1240*1024. VideoRAM may vary 32MB to 64MB depending upon your needs. Latest drivers are also easily available on the net. And I would like to mention, don't go on to spend any more than that on ur 547MHz PIII. You already have loads of RAM.

get a decent bfg brand, it has lifetime warranty. it cost more than other brands, but worth the money. anytime you want to upgrade your video card, just unplug the fan in the video card and play some game until the card burns. plug the fan back in and call the customer service to exchange the card. if that type of card is out, they will replace you with newer and faster card. As far as i know, companies don't carry many old video cards.

I don't think they make one for your computer, If you don't have a AGP slot for a card your out of luck, and even if you did your p3 is not enough.

GeForce FX5200. It costs less than $50 and you can look for it on eBay.com.
