I have a Dell Dimension 2100 that is currently running Windows ME. I want to format the HD and install Windows xp Black edition. But I can't access the Bios settings. I read the help file and it says to press Ctrl until the main screen comes up. Also says you can try F8. I did it 50 million times. Nothing happens. I tried all the F keys. Still nothing. The cd itself is an iso [boot disc] and it works fine (I upgraded the computer I'm using right now) Please help. Thanks in advance.

I believe the Dell Dimension's Setup Key is F2. Press it repeatedly at startup and you should be good. Also, F12 should give you a boot list to choose from. G'luck.

Entering the System Setup Program

To enter the system setup program:

1. Turn on (or restart) your computer.

2. When the blue Dell logo appears, press .

If you wait too long and the operating system begins to load into memory, let the computer complete the load operation. Then shut down the computer and try again.

Don't hold down the key, simply press it three or four times as soon as the computer splash screen comes up.
