CPU: AMD Athlon II X3 445 Rana 3.1GHz

GPU Options:
1. MSI GTX 460 1GB Cyclone
2. EVGA GeForce GTX 560Ti 1GB
3. MSI GeForce GTX 560Ti 1GB Twin Frozr II OC

I’ll be upgrading from an 8800GT, current resolution due to monitor compatibility with the card using DVI is 1300*768. My main concern is whether or not my processor will cause any restraints if I were to purchase one of the GTX 560Ti cards? The games I’m interested in playing are The Witcher 2, Mass Effect 2, Portal 2, and Battlefield 3 when it comes out.

And the resolution I would like to play these games would probably be 1900*1080

The Athlon II X3 will genuinely run video games speedier than the X4 can, because of the fact it rather is clocked greater. maximum video games income from only twin cores, however the destiny is taking off to kit in the direction of quad cores. i could say supply it yet another 5 years in the past we initiate up seeing video games that want 4 cores. you are able to constantly overclock the II X4 to 3.1GHz or much extra. Athlons are noticeably overclockable. All you may desire for that reason is severe speed RAM. The Athlon II X4 series overall performance has similarities to the middle 2 Quad. they are approximately 10% slower for the comparable clock, so a 2.4Ghz middle 2 Quad could have the means to tournament a 2.6Ghz Athlon II X4.

As long as the MOTHERBOARD supports it.

Shouldn't be a problem.
