When modifying, building a computer I will Format Hard Drive first, FDISK, and have ready a legit copy of Windows 98 or XP or Windows 7 etc ready to install.. Then I have all driver Discs for all other hardware such as sound, video etc.. ready to install after operating system installed.

Ok quick fix is to chek the RAM and change it. Sometimes RAM modules may look the same but not all of them are compatable with every motherboard. Check the compatability of the modules against the motherbaord manufactures data.

However the codes you have listed do point tosomething being incompatible so you may have to check all the hard ware id compatible.

I have included some very useful links which will help you, also May I suggest using www.bleepingcomputers.com

search results:- http://www.bing.com/search?q=BSOD+Error+Code+0x0000008E&FORM=QSRE3

useful link page:- http://cyecorp.ro/dailylog/2009/03/22/bsod-error-code-0x0000008e/

stop error codes:- http://cyecorp.ro/dailylog/2009/03/22/bsod-error-code-0x0000008e/

good luck hope that solves the problem..

another suggestion is try getting the HDD to boot with XP first. Vista is not worth bothering with.

Error codes that constantly change are a symptom of dead or damaged memory.

download and burn a memory tester onto a disk and run a memory test on the ram for an hour or so.

if clean then at least you've eliminated a potential problem, do the same for the hard drive too, run a hard drive diagnostic utility, i think WD or Seagate have a good one.
