no not relay i leave the side of my pc to keep it cool just don't let the dust build up also extra fans only cost a few pound and you just clip it to the three Little pins on your Motherboard

All you would be doing is adding an extra space for heat to escape the case. However, each case is designed to channel air across the components as well as dissipate heat. When you open the case or remove components, although overall heat inside the case will be lower, it won't actually cool down the other components any better. It's usually better to add extra case fans. There are some that will actually fit into drive bays and there are even hard-drive coolers as well. Also making sure that the various heat-sinks and fans aren't clogged with dust can improve heat dissipation.

Not really...it would just leave a bigger hole for hot air to get out and reduce the positive air flow in the case. The best and easiest way to increase air flow is with bigger, more, or faster fans. If you have a "vent" at the side door of the case, putting a fan there blowing directly on the video card will cool a case down considerably!

Nope
.
Only more holes in the case will do that
.
Some cases have top vents with fans blowing out air
.
That kind of air flow is prim
.
As long as you ain't the kind that likes to set a cup of hot coffee on the top of it all the time..

How many fans have you got inside the case? For example on mine I have one on the far top-left near the front, one directly in front of the hard-disk drive enclosure, one on top of the CPU heat-sink and one at the very back near the PSU and one inside the PSU itself blowing downwards, bigger fans are not necissarily better as they can blow so force-fully that the others struggle to get good air-flow, sometimes smaller or normal size fans are fine. If you put your hands over the vents and feel cool airflow between your fingers your doing it right, if however you feel warm or hot air then something is not quite right!

45.0°C to 48.0°C is what you would expect a decent cup of coffee to be, anything over 59.0°C and I would turn the machine off to figure out what was going wrong before it made it above 80.0°C at which point you can expect to smell burning plastic as your PC starts to cook itself!

if it's like regular casing, at the top of the front panel most likely no or there will be a very marginal difference. Unless you can slot a small 120mm fan at the front where the ODD could be you might as well leave it in

but dust will easily enter, better to have additional fan.
