Like Khelben suggested get a better proc as Q6600 (Its a 3 year old processor fyi) is reaching EOL (End of Life), which literally translate to no support for it.

For chassis wise i would recommend brands such as coolermaster, NZXT or even thermaltake. Some models from this offerings falls within your budget.

For first time builders, do follow strictly to the installation manuals.

Go grab a Q8300 instead, the recent price drops on the Q8200, the Q8300, and the Q9400 make the Q6600 overpriced. Other than that everything looks fine.

looks good but, u could do better on the video card to the 4850 x2 only the 4870 x2 and the nvidia 285, 295 beat it http://www.newegg.com/Product/ProductList.aspx?Submit=ENE&DEPA=0&Order=BESTMATCH&Description=4850+X2

and why the slow ram use the 1066 or 1333 and use ram dividers so your ram wont hold back your oc.other than that it looks great

Q8000 series are worser in overclockability than Q6600.. they have LESS cache than Q6600 and multiplier is lower.
