Im stuck for this one, its something ive never enounterd...

I backed up all my files for a reinstall, as im too lazy to delete everything by hand, i used hirens boot cd (i think) to use boot and nuke, and it estimated 70 something odd hours untill completion, i didnt want to wait that long so i shut down the computer, (knowing that its messed the hard drive up)... my computer needed to be repaired soon so i wouldnt mind risking even more time to repair it, i then used ultimate boot cd and went to the hard drive section, and used one of the hard drive formatters, idk which one... and that completed pretty quick

i rebooted again with Windows 7 disk.. for some reason it took AGES to load (as did vista) but when it did, it either started unpacking files and stating error, or not even getting to the installing stage and said *dvd/cd drive drivers are missing* and it couldnt install? i didnt even know it had drivers in if the hard drive was formatted, lol..

then, i randomly found an OpenSUSE disk i had lieng around, and thought if i can get that up and running i could boot the windows 7 disk while the OS was on... wrong, it showed so many errors whilst trying to install, instead i tried booting it from the disk, and it came up "BOOTMGR is missing"

From then i gave up, yahoo answers is my last hope to learn how to fix it xD

please educate me somewhat of whats happend, im totally lost

You might have a failing hard drive. I would suggest that you run a hard drive tester like Seatools for DOS (free).

If it passes I would try again to reformat with gparted. (free).

Good luck

I've used hiren's cd before and it works well. You messed up the boot manager. Get on of the partition editors to partition the whole disk. You will lose everything though. If the hard drive takes more than a day or so it could be dying.

Well your computer should've come with a recovery disk for this kind of stuff. This re-installs everything and installs whatever windows your pc came with(e.g windows 7, windows vista etc.). If you don't have this then i suggest you go to a computer stall and get it fixed. If you just find a random recovery disk laying around it probably wont work because different computers come with different recovery disks.

in case you have yet another pc google nuke an boot. acquire it. do not issue it dose not have an epidemic so its secure. when you acquire it placed it on a disk placed it in the mest up pc turn it on enable it wipe your pc. it relatively is going to take a protracted time to wipe yet whilst it relatively is completed restart your pc put in the windows7 disk. load it on on your pc ensure you have a valid activation code and ding you purchased a working pc!!!
