im having problems installing mac osx tiger onto my power mac g4

its specs are

400mhz
128mb ram
10gb hard drive
firewire
ethernet
dvd rom
video card
sound card


at the moment it has mac osx jaguar on it


by the way i got the mac osx tiger disk from my brother who got it with his mac book if that helps

and i was also wondering if it i was possible to install it on my hard drive that i pulled out of my pc but if not it doesnt matter

every time i put the mac osx tiger cd my mac the kernel panic screen shows up

true what glenn said. this disk will not work for your g4, the disks you receive are specific to the model it came with. i am sure you can find a disk for a reasonable price somewhere online.

Does his mac book have a Intel or Power PC processor? If it were made after 2006, it's likely Intel. Long story short you will need a power pc disc of tiger.
