My computer keeps 'alt tabbing' of its own accord?

Basically it keeps doing this, however its just like alt tabbing but the screen doesn't change. It's hard to explain, and that's why I have come here. I play a lot of games and its really quite annoying. For example, if I'm playing a game my PC will act as if I have just alt tabbed, but I can still see the game running in the background. So it alt tabs, but doesn't... This results in my having to click to get back to that window, even though I can still see it. I know this might sound confusing but I don't really know how to describe it, could someone please help!

I know what you mean... basically it is as if the focus has switched to another process, but then that process has finished but hasn't sent the focus back to your game!!



The only thing you can do is find out what else is running and stop the process before you start your game. Things such as anti-virus scans, auto updates etc.... all run in the background. Disable everything you can and see if the problem goes away, if it works you can always re-enable one at a time to find the culprit.

Have you got any applications that are set to automatically update as it could be them that are interfering with the game.
