i'm using win 7 ultimate
pentium 4, 3.06ghz processor
nvidia geforce 9500 gt 1gb ddr2
2 gb memory (ram)
samsung sync master 740n monitor
i opened my pc today to see every thing is appearing big, too big that all the gadgets i use(4 in number) are not fitting in the screen
the desktop icons are like the large icons but the medium icon size is selected
in computer, the icon are so big that only two icons of hard disk partition are fitting in a row
everything appears as if its in 600 x 400 resolution
i checked the resolution but it is normal i.e., 1280 x 1024, which is the recommended one and have been using all the time
the welcome screen appears normal though (only the welcome screen is normal)
what should i do ?
about five years ago (i dint know much about computers then and the hardware config wasn't the same), the same thing happened and the day after the hard disk crashed, my pc wouldn't boot, the technician said "some circuits in the HDD got burnt and it shouldn't have happened"
so i'm scared about my pc now
please help !!!!!!!!

Right click on desktop & choose Change screen resolution.

Then try to reduce your resolution & apply & then change the resoluton to what recommended.

If not solve your problem type Restore in the search box & do a system restore.

It recognized man or woman-pleasant sufficient to stick to yet I hated that they positioned the flags on the significant acceptable. by way of actual incontrovertible truth that i take great thing about a zoom element above 100% to analyze my mail and opt to flag some to analyze/answer later, I on the instantaneous grew fed up in attending to scroll for that reason far acceptable and left merely to be effective which emails i had to maintain and which i ought to delete. I went back to typical mail.
