Hi every one! I've heard that Apple's Snow Leopard is the best looking os. I want to install that on my pc.
My pc specs:
Pro: AMD Phenom x4 9650 2.31ghz
Mobo: Asus M4A78EM
HDD: Seagate 2.3tb(1000+500+500+320) Sata
GC: XFX Radeon hd 4670 1gb
1 Lg IDE dvd writer,1 samsung SATA dvd writer
450w zebronics smps
OS windows 7 ultimate(x64)

I have borrowed my friend's snow leo dvd. It's version is 10.6.
So plz help me how to install this mac on my amd-asus based pc.
I've installed most of the os's(like BSD,Solaris,Linux...............) but i'm unable to install this os. i've tried using this" http://lifehacker.com/348653/install-os-x-on-your-hackintosh-pc-no-hacking-required/" but it didn't work.It shows "Still waiting for the root device". I can't even install that on vmware though i followed the steps given in some sites.

Plz help me..
Also tell how much time it takes to install completely
Thanks for all in advance

Yes you can it is called hackintosh but you can not use a reg snow lepoard cd you have to download a torrent called kalway ceo SSE2 SSE3 it is an iso so burn it to a cd and restart your comp with the cd in the drive the comp will boot from the cd and you will install mac like normal! :D cheers!

PS: i would not do it beacause any pc with hackintosh would run slow and you would have troubles finding drivers and would not connect online!

You would have to download a patched snow leopard install specifically for PC. I wouldn't do it though because it is easy to mess up your Mac OS X PC. It is also illegal to install Mac OS X on a PC.

Nothing against Mac but I am curious why you would not be perfectly happy with at least one of the many Linux distro's available. If you haven't found one you like then there are plenty more. I'm currently into Mint myself- great hardware recognition (64-bit AMD Toshiba), nice graphics and a fantastic software repository.

1) Apple does not allow you to install Mac OS on non-apple hardware; it violates the EULA.

2) Even if you could install it on your PC, you borrowing your friend's disc and installing it that way is software piracy and is illegal.
