Click these:
"Start", then "Control Panel", then "Display", then "Desktop", then "Customize Desktop", then tick the box beside "My Computer", click "OK", and "OK" again. Close the control panel and go to the desktop, My Computer's icon should be back.

If you have vista:
go to the start menu, look on the left collum, drag the word computer to your desktop.
I dont remember how to do it on xp, but if you can find it (in the sart menu i think) and drag it on the desktop. It will on;y make a copy so you don't have to worry about only having it in one spot. All you have to do is drag it when you find it.
Hope this helps

Go to START and find MY COMPUTER on the right hand side.
RIGHT CLICK the MY COMPUTER icon, and select "Show on Desktop".

Should be in the recycling bin if you deleted it.
