Why doesn't my computer beep when it starts?

So, my custom built computer came in today already built for me. I turned it on but heard no beep, however everything was working fine. I saw online that it could be a sign of motherboard failure but I can't notice any problems, the machine is flawless. What makes me ask this question is because on my previous computer, when it started, it let out a little beep, so I was little surprised not to hear one when I turned my new computer on. Is it something to be worried about? Should I call the company and file a complaint? Also, what does the beep mean, is it something to pay attention to or should I just ignore it?

First of all, is it a windows computer? Because only windows pcs do that. Also what do you exactly mean by that beep? Do you mean the one sound where you get when you log in? Also, check if your sound mixer is muted or if you haven't put in any speakers yet? If it is a custom built computer then the creator must of forgotten that part. Just go back to the guy or call him about the problem! Thanks, hope this helped!

My hp and compaq doesn't beep when it start or my dell but my older e-machine did , some pc's beep when they start and others don't it should be nothing to be concern about , can test out the internal speaker by taking out the ram but as i said if it's working good nothing to be concern about unless there is a problem is should be the only time the pc beep

It is nothing to worry about. Some motherboard makers don't have it beep when it boots, some do. However, if there is a component failure such that it can't boot there should always be a beep code indicating why unless the motherboard has failed completely.

They didnt connect a small piezo speaker to your motherboard. You can always buy one at a store like Micro Center
