how do I get the remote desktop to work?

when i try to connect, it says cannot find the remote computer, and invalid server name, or remote server is unavalible, all my settings are correct to the best of my knowledge, please give me detailed instructions.

Enable Remote Administration in client machine's Firewall: Steps to enable Remote Administration in Firewall:



1. Click Start --> Run

2. Type gpedit.msc and click OK

3. Expand Computer Configuration --> Administrative Templates --> Network --> Network Connections --> Windows Firewall --> Domain Profile.

4. Right-click Windows Firewall: Allow remote administration exception, and then click Properties.

5. Click Enabled, and then click OK.

are your destination system turn on his remote desktop ?

and does it add a user and password that has in his PCs user in the remote desktop ?

that you should log on by his user and pass.
