I just saw the new Razer Blade laptop (http://www.razerzone.com/blade) and I was wondering which would win in a fight, graphics and peformance wise. The Razer Blade or the Alienware Area-51 ALX Desktop? (http://www.dell.com/uk/p/alienware-area51-alx/pd) The Alienware costs £4,134.69 with all the customisations, which includes:

Processor:
Intel® Core™ i7 Processor 960(3.20GHz,4.8GT/s,8MB)

Video Card:
Dual 4GB GDDR5 AMD® Radeon™ HD6990 CrossFireX™

Hard Drive:
2TB Dual Hard Drive Raid 0 "Stripe" (2x1TB - 7200rpm)

Memory:
6GB 1600MHz (3x2GB) Tri Channel Memory

Monitor:
Alienware OptX™ AW2310 23” 120Hz 3D Capable Full HD Widescreen Monitor - UK

Thanks.

P.S. Another addition to the question, how well would the Alienware actually peform? Would it be able to run like 3 games at once without crashing do you think? I mean, I have an eMachines non-gaming laptop at the moment with Intel Chipseries graphics card thing and it's running 15 fps on WoW and 40 fps if I'm in an empty room with virtually nothing in it, so the Alienware should be beastly, right?

The Alienware would absolutely destroy everything you play. The 6990 is one of the fastest GPU on the market at the moment. To run quad CFX is just going to rip a new hole in everything.

WOW is going to play with everything maxed out 100 FPS+ (this is an understatement). The CPU is going to bottleneck the GPU :D. That's how powerful it is. You'll play anything that's out right now at absurd frames, and future games w/o breaking a sweat. Get 3 monitors for Eyefinity :D. Your going to love it. The GPUs will handle it no problems

The Razer Blade is a hideously overpriced laptop. To give a comparison, it's not even as well specced as a 17" Macbook Pro (GPU is a tad faster, lesser CPU, tiny hard drive, more RAM, but RAM is cheap), yet it's actually MORE expensive than the Macbook Pro! When you can't even match a Mac in price-to-specs then you're really doing something wrong. You can get a better gaming laptop for HALF that price!

The Alienware is also hideously overpriced. What an utter joke! You could build that thing for less than HALF the price!

Seriously, both of them are an obscene ripoff. Don't buy either. Shop smart and you can get great performance for a LOT less than either of those.

I REALLY hope you do not actually mean two separate 6990 cards. That is absolutely beyond absurd. Will you be playing crysis and a screen the size of an imax theatre screen?!

buying laptops for gaming is stupid.
