I changed my bios settings after kill disking my pc. Now it will not boot from CD... even though the boot order has the drive as being first. And will not boot past POST screen or allow me to access the bios settings.... any ideas?

jumper the clear CMOS on your motherboard and hit the power

if your MOBO was built after 2005 then your MOBO will have CMOS resetting on powerdown as standard!!

your talking about a BIOS setup right?...go into your BIOS and RESET DEFAULTS! and unless youhave designated that onboard things like sound and modems be disabled or your IRQs have to be changed or boot ordering then a RESET will be fine!!!

CMOS setting contain all the basic hardware profiles and basic drivers for your set up and a powerdown is all you need to restore these! CMOS and BIOS are different!!!
