Comparing a sempron 3400+ to a core 2 duo e6300 for pcmark 2005 cpu multi threaded.?

Now the core 2 duo e6300 is the mid range core 2 duo and the sempron 3400+ is the mid range sempron. Now this benchmark is multi threaded which means it can utilize multiple cores if a computer has them. Now the core 2 duo scores 4794. And the sempron scores 2601. Now in that benchmark which is multi threaded and evevn with mutiple cores being utilized in the bechmark the core 2 duo is not even 2 times faster then the sempron. Because 4794 divided by 2601 equals 1.84. So then the core 2 duo isn't much faster then a sempron afterall is it. So that means if they were both encoding a video and if the duo core encoded it in 200 seconds then the sempron would take 360 seconds. Which is not a big performance increase at all.

when your talking amd vs intel the difference is only the cost until you get to the higher c2q and i7, the amd chips match and beat many of the intel chips in the same category, i own both, my first amd chip i bought this week, its the athlon 245 and its just as strong as my intel c2q 2.33 (q8600 i think) the

only difference i can see in the chips when it comes to ripping dvds and playing newer top shelf games............ the price by over 100$ im almost sold on the amd now...........and besides if your into overclocking amd is the way to go by far, the amd chip i have is 2.9 stock and ive read people hitting 3.7ghz on air since the new athlons are the 45nm cores they stay cool.........................its all about bragging rights, do you wanna brag you got the best cpu or the best priced cpu....?

The sempron isn't a twin middle, and it is nowhere close to as speedy. additionally, the sempron is previous, it got here out in 2004. And the middle 2 duo got here out in previous due 2006. A comparable AMD processor to the middle 2 duo is the phenom.

The sempron is a crappy processor and difficult to compare as AMD vs intel.
