I have a desktop and I need to find where the fn key is because there is no key which says fn. All I see are f1 and f2 etc.

The FN key, if anywhere, would be on the keyboard.

It should be on the BOTTOM row of the keys, that is, by the control, windows key, space bar, and alt area.

You usually find them on laptops where the reduced number of keys carry more than one function, so the Fn key allows you to use the other function.

Normal, full-sized keyboards as used on desktops don't usually have them.

I'm not saying ALL full size keyboards don't have them - but if yours hasn't there's nothing wrong with it.

there is not any usual Fn key. in assessment to maximum keyboard keys, like A, B, C, F12, PrntScrn, end, and so on, the particular code for the Fn key has varries from computer to computer, so in spite of in case you utilize a software like SharpKeys to remap your keyboard, there is not any telling what particular code is your particular computer's Fn key. believe me, even the tech help adult men on your variety/variety would be thoroughly stumped in case you ask them.

the fn key is specific to laptops and other portable computers, however with the right keyboard and software you could install a surrogate onto your desktop.
