I'm building a new comp and everything is working fine until after the bios flash is done then the screen goes blank and i cant do anything. i still dont have a operating system in. the parts are a MSI K9N6PGM2-v2 motherboard
AMD Athlon x2 2.5ghz
Extreme ATX450w power supply(it came with the case)
Lite-on DVD burner
WD 500gb HD running at 7200rpm with a 16mb cache
and a Gigabyte ATI Radeon HD 4350 PCI-E 1.0

Please helped me out with this. This is my first pc build and i'm having such a hard time with it.

Even without HDD/OS, a normal build will beep once, display opening screen, display post and when Del or F2 is pressed, BIOS menu opens.

Your PC's 4 startup beeps could mean a videocard problem.

It is not a power issue since HD 4350 is just a low wattage card. Try reseating the card on its slot. Also try resetting CMOS through CMOS reset switch or by removing CMOS battery for at least 30 seconds.

Maybe it's because you don't have any software for the hardware to boot up?

Start it up again and have the Windows CD in the drive (make sure to set the BIOS to boot from the CD before the hard drive).

Then, you will see the "Press any key to start setup..."

If you don't know where the "any" key is...slap yourself very hard and throw away the computer.

when I put in a clean motherboard the bios would desire to be reset earlier it might certainly boot and show something, so i'd attempt that it would be defined interior the vendors handbook to the motherboard additionally its ordinary to forget that the purple area of the hdd cable needs to show to pin huge type a million
