After receving an error about "svchost.exe" (I chose to cancel/debug the error and "send an error report"), my windows XP has run into several problems. One of these is that while I'm surfing the internet, the display theme will randomly switch from my Modified Theme/Energy Blue Theme (Blue display with a 3dish feel to it) to the Windows Classic Theme (light gray, simple display - no color, trebuchet font). After minimizing the internet window, it'll reset to the Energy Blue Theme but my taskbar will still be set in the Classic Theme. My desktop isn't changed at all while all of this happens, it's just the titlebars of the windows.

- restarting doesn't fix this problem
- whenever the svchost.exe error pops up, the theme mixup will follow shortly. when the svchost.exe host error doesn't happen, my theme doesn't change so somehow these two are connected

Any ideas on how to fix this issue would be appreciated, thanks!

If you don't get any answers to your question, you might try going to majorgeeks.com - it's a computer support forum and they could tell you exactly what your problem is . . . they've helped me before.

You might want to try System Restore. Go to start, all programs, accessories, system tools and select system restore. Just follow the instructions and select the date a bit further back (when your pc was running smoothly).

Hope this helps.
