I know i've asked this before, but i just wanted to be clear
When you press the power button(the button you use to turn on the PC) to shut down, does it
damage the CPU?
i don't mean press and hold,i know that damages it as it cuts off power
i mean press and release
so far no problems with computer but im getting a bit fustrated as sometimes
my monitor says no input and i have to restart the computer
so,does it damage your computer?
in power options i've chosen to shutdown when i press the power button
any replies (except nonsense) will be appreciated.
imma go eat now,cya

well actually pressing the power button doesnt damage the CPU hardware, and holding it also dont damage the CPU hardware., but the both of them damge the Operating system it self ( Windows ).

so if u set the power options when u press the power button to shutdown , thats safe and wont damage any thing at all.

hope i was clear here , have a nice day :)

Ni, it doesn't damage your machine at all. It's called 'Soft Power' and basically does the same thing as: start>shutdown>shutdown.

I don;t believe it does if you just let it go through the shut down system.

The problem with your monitor is probably just a BIOS bug in your start up- dont worry about it and update your computer.
