I heard I can buy ram sticks to plug in to the USB ports of my PC to speed it up. Where can I buy these "ram sticks"?

Sorry but RAM does not work like that. RAM must be installed on the

motherboard in their designated slots for the fastest access.

USB ports are fat too slow anyway!

To save any speculation on what you may have or may not have, do this.

Start ► Run or Search Programs and Files ► [type in] sys.info ► OK

When the System Information comes up on the first page it will give you all the

information on your motherboard.

Manufacturer, Type, Version etc. Make a note of it all.

Then go to ► http://www.crucial.com/uk/index.aspx?cpe=CHAWKuk

Enter those details into the scanner. Your system then will be scanned and it

will tell you the maximum your motherboard can handle and recommendations

on what RAM you should have.

Their prices are quite reasonable and home delivery is usually around 3/4 days.

Hi sameer

this is incorrect they actually have to be fitted inside the computer case in the ram slots so if this needs extra memory take it to a tech and ask him/her to fit some bigger memory chips.

the usb type ones are not the same thing at all. they are to carry data around in your pocket.

you can't upgrade with USB sticks or dongles.
