Recently I built a computer

Mb: ASUS crosshair iv extreme
CPU: AMD phenom X6 2.8Ghz
Ram: G-skill 4gb 2x2gb
Psu: cougar PX-700
GPU: his radeon hd 5670 iceq

And I never got my GPU working , and the driver seems to fail allot. Like when I get past the POST to the windows screen , it goes blank . When I leave it alone ( I can't use it for any games or certain programs . Like " mass effect 2 " just bought it said can't find directX 3d driver
I am about to RMA it to NEWEGG but I'm buying one now the " sapphire vapor-x 5770 ( cause I'm on budget ) . And I'm no pc gamer . But I just want to play sims and mass effect here & there .

So my question is what would you suggest , Im trying to spend below 150$ or 100£ so any recommendations.

I sugesst this:

AMD Radeon HD 6790

The AMD Radeon HD 6790 turned out to be a very nice graphics card for the price. I saw it consistently beating the NVIDIA GeForce GTX 550 Ti 1GB video card, which is the latest and greatest offering from NVIDIA at the $150 price point. The AMD Radeon HD 6790 can also be easily overclocked as we were able to reach 900MHz on the core and 1120MHz on the memory before having stability issues. I could have gone higher if I increased the GPU Voltage, but to keep things simple I used just the AMD Overdrive utility to see how far we could push this reference card...

If you really is on a EXTREMELY tight budget, try this:

Asus 1GB Radeon HD 5570 Silent DDR2 HDMI

It cost around £51 from Amazon. I got F.E.A.R 2 maxed out on it so thats pretty cool and it could play stuff like Anno 1404, Sims 3, Star Wars Battlefront 2 and Battleforge, nothing really taxing but it did the job. On my DDR3 model iv'e gotten games like Battlefield 2, Black Ops to run pretty well on medium/high settings so maybe this card can also do a similar job seeing as there pretty much the same card just one of them is using DDR3 instead. It is ranked 5.8 on Windows Aero whilst my DDR3 model only gave 6.8

If you think I have provided a good answe,r please rate me Best Answer:)

Radeon 6850 or even the GTX 460

they are really solid cards in the mid-high range and on newegg you can get a gtx 460 for around $120 if you are lucky

5750 is a good card for its price (a friend of mine got one and runs 3 screens and play some games, like BF2, need for speed shift and similar games on 3 screens, not any fancy graphics but still rather nice for such a cheap little card)

a 5770 should be enough for you if you arnt going to play all the games in the world on highest settings, its a rather good card

if you can check if there is a cheap 5850 (they are very cheap these days should be around your budget, new cheap one is ushally called extreme something)

thu i dont understand why you buy such a overpowerd cpu for such a crappy gpu

It sounds to be a computing device. With twin photographs equipment laptops, you would be able to desire to apply the video drivers presented by using the device producer (on their cyber web website) to enable it to alter to the replace photographs equipment. (Loading regular Intel or Radeon drivers can 'lock' it and end it changing, then you definately could desire to uninstall them and reinstall the manufacturers driving force kit.) those are specifically written to discover the type of application in use and turn to the greater useful (and ability hungry) mode whilst mandatory. you do not could desire to do something for it to alter, it does it 'on call for' whilst a application makes use of severe ability photographs centers. they are going to constantly use the common decrease ability mode whilst working generic laptop purposes and gaming-grade photographs ability isn't required. (If it is truthfully a computer device with integrated and upload-on photographs, you have the video cable plugged interior the motherboard fairly than the video card).
