Floppy diskette seek failure?

When I start my dell dimession 5150 I get a floppy diskette seek failure, press f1 to continue or f2 for set up. There is no floppy disc on my computer. I'm using windows vista . How do I fix this. Thank you

press f2 key i beleive or wich ever key takes you to your bios screen search through each page untill you find floppy seek and disable it then reboot .Hope this helps

Press F2 and disable the floppy Drive from the boot menu.

examine the wires from thepersistent to the board to confirm the relationship is okay. If those seem ok, i might substitute out the cable. in case you install a floppy interior thepersistent and it do no longer examine it , i might say replace it besides

uninstall windows vista and install any other O/S
