Also, is there anything I can do to reduce the price of the first rig but still keep its performance, graphics, etc?

I'd definitely take the 2nd computer. It has double the processor speed with the quad core and comes with double the ram.

As for the 2nd question, just reduce the unnecessary, i.e. custom case, sound (if you're not concerned). As well, AMD Processors tend to cost $100 less than their INTEL counter-part.

Intel is great for gaming...even if its lower than 2.6. 2.5 should run them nice. The first one is good if u plan on going dual cards...would be a big monster.

Personally, i would go with the one from tiger direct. Good price for a little monster like that. it would play games with no problem. i have an AMD 5000+ rollin with the HIS ATI 4670. Thing is kickin it easy.

If the one from tiger direct can support crossfire...i would go with that one. Even if it doesnt support crossfire...still go with tigger direct.

The one from tiger direct is the better overall computer

Get all the same parts from tiger direct or newegg (or both) and the price should come out lower but you will have to build it your self but its really not that hard there are many tutorials on youtube

easily the one from tiger direct.

it has a better processor, more ram, larger hard drive, etc. and it even has a hot pic on the side.

for your comp, i am confused as to why you have a variety of components. you could easily go with another motherboard and cheaper ram, and get more ram with the money you would save.

double check everything to make sure it goes together. don't just pull out obscure parts that just happen to work with another one.

three areas of concern: processor (its a little underpowered), motherboard, and ram.

the second one
