If its only happened once then no

Could be a number of problems that could have caused it.

Damaged RAM

Resolution: Replace damaged ram stick

System on long periods of time in which ram heats up (This can cause slow ram / Crash)

Replace ram with Heat shield

Hard Drive error (Corrupt file or Damaged sector on HDD)

Reinstall OS or scan disk for damaged sections of the HDD (this is normally caused by turning off the computer without powering down - Shutdown)

Driver Incompatability

This is normally the case if it happends often, in which the driver for some of your hardware is accessed regularly
