Well, the first computer has a much more powerful CPU (Core i5 3570K) but that's not the biggest consideration for a gaming build.

In high-end games your fps depend 70% upon your graphics card, and in that department the 2nd computer (custom built with a GeForce GTX 660) completely smokes the first computer with a GeForce GTX 550 Ti.

Now the FX-6100 isn't a very good gaming processor, but the graphics card in computer #2 is strong enough to offset that. The GTX 660 is capable of playing Battlefield 3 on ultra settings smoothly at 1920x1080 resolution. The GTX 550 Ti is just barely enough for high settings.

If possible, you'd want to replace the FX-6100 with an FX-6300 (which is at least respectable) or if your budget allows, build a Core i5-based custom unit.

The FX-6100 doesn't even crack the bottom of this chart:

@Alias yeah, the laptop version plays a huge role. A laptop GTX 670M is only equal to a desktop GTX 550 Ti. There's a huge dropoff with mobile components.

some say they are able to, yet I even have been utilising mac considering the fact that 1988 and function not yet had a scourge. i assume all desktops can get viruses, that is basically maximum unlikely on a mac for various motives. a million. Unix permissions 2. loss of persons writing mac viruses. 3. better Kernel Isolation 4. perplexing propagation: you're able to certainly setting up an contaminated software to get previous the risk-free practices systems already in place. All mac viruses or rumors of mac viruses as much as now have basically gotten into the equipment by the person setting up an contaminated software and allowing it get entry to to the kernel by stepping into your risk-free practices key. (in no way supply a software this sort of get entry to except that is from an certain supplier)

Hmm. Your graphics card may be a little weak for BF3 and Skyrim on high. I have a 670 (notebook version, which may be part of it) and i get an average of 40fps in Skyrim on full graphics 1080p. Havent tried BF3 though.

680 or 690 will probably do 60fps though.

The second one is better.
