Well is your computer... how some one else will lock your case without your concern? ...

OK... lets assume this is all real and is your PC ...

If you have access to the OS get a program that kill bios .

This will halt your PC when run , but will erase all configurations on it , including bios pass .

It does not work on all bios .

The only way to remove a password of the bios without knowing the password would be to flash the bios. Flashing the bios *shouldn't* cause any damage to the HD, but you need to know the type of mother board to flash it correctly. It should be listed immediately when your computer starts up. Then google the motherboard type with "bios". Instructions for flashing a bios can also be found with google.

ooh marium thats a tough nut to crack!

see if this web search can help you out (Google: bypassing the bios password)

http://www.google.com.pk/search?q=bypassing+the+bios+password&ie=utf-8&oe=utf-8&aq=t&rls=org.mozilla:en-US:official&client=firefox-a

this link has some manufacturer applied bios passwords (apparently not ur case)

http://www.uktsupport.co.uk/reference/biosp.htm

There are also some ways to hack into the CMOS of the computer but that can be tricky and can cause damage to ur system!

Now for an idea from my side..

ever heard of hardware based keyloggers? some of them might just work while PC boots. try to google for such key loggers (also called keyboard buffer).

Key loggers (keyboard buffers) are actually extensions applied at the PS2 socket of the keyboard. they record EACH AND EVERY key that a user presses for a certain duration. so when that *someone* in your house unlocks the computer the password wud get stored in the key buffer and your problem solved!

If the computer is yours and someone locked you out of it, they MUST remove the lockout as they did this without your permission. In most countries this kind of activity is illegal if the system they do it too does not belong to them and they do it intentionally to harm the other.

If the computer is not yours any attempts to bypass the password or security measures put in place on the machine (be it physical or logical) are considered intrusion attempts which are equally as illegal. Proceed carefully here.

IF you do not have physical access to the machine's insides there is no EASY way to do anything without harming the machine.

have you tried unlocking the motherboard again? Setting a BIOS password only locks access through the software, but you should be able to unlock the BIOS access by removing the slip pin with the cmos battery still in place.

I don't think it's fair to blame someone at home. This is usually done by the retailer who sold you your PC so that you can't fiddle with it while it's under warranty, then blame them for anything that probably will go wrong. It the computer is out of warranty, ask the retailer for the password and the "Key to allow you to change jumpers. Then all I can say is "good luck".
