Ughhh... More computer hardware questions before I finally get this thing built.

I'm on iBuyPower.com and I'm trying to compare by build with cyberpowerpc.com in sort of which would give me the same performance for less $$$. So I got it down to the same parts and iBuyPower is more than Cyberpower BUT! Apparently there's only a $6 difference in getting...
(yes I will run Windows Ultimate)

-32GB (4GB x 8) of RAM from what I would have gotten 16GB (4Gbx4)?? Dunno how that makes sense.

But on Cyberpowerpc theres a $282 difference in switching between the same setup (16 4x4 -> 32 4x8)?

W.T.F?

Any help here, No i checked there isn't a difference between the MhZ's or whatever there both 1600MhZ on iBuyPower... which leads to my next question. What's the difference between 32GB 1333MhZ and 1600MhZ cause I can get 32GB on cyberpower for a $10 addition but it's NOT THE 1600MHZ LIKE IT IS ON iBUYPOWER.

I iz so confused :/

Thanks Guys!

Your question is a little confusing. Not quite sure exactly what you're asking.

I guess the question is, what will you be using the computer for. 16GB is plenty unless you're going to be doing a massive, and i mean massive amount of video rendering and multitasking on top of that.

If you're just going to be gaming, 4GB is good.

The commonly believed misnomer is that the more ram you have, the faster your machine will be. That's not the case. The more RAM you have the better equipped your machine is to handle many many programs at once.

If you're a general user and you don't need to run twenty programs at once then any RAM over about 4GB is just going to sit there and do nothing and be of no benefit to your machine whatsoever.

But RAM is cheap and people like to have massive amounts of it in their machines because in their minds, it gives them bragging rights.

The difference between 1600MHz and 1333MHz is almost nothing. Any benefit would be unnoticeable outside of benchmarks. So you'd get a few extra benchmark points if you went with 1600MHz over 1333 but in real world applications you will simply not notice the difference.

Save some cash and go with Windows 7 Home Premium because unless you're going to be doing some serious business networking and other business related tasks or you somehow have the need to work in dozens of different languages, the extra features will simply not be used, go to waste and cost you more.

I even have a DV8000 HP Laptop, which I use to do the whole lot adding gaming! One fundamental challenge is warmth and dangerous placement of the air vents. The air vents that support cool the pc are located correct in which one's leg might relaxation additionally whilst gaming even situation on a desk the DV8000 can get beautiful sizzling and simply can't get sufficient air. If I might endorse some thing it might be to prop the pc to permit addition ventilation or acquire a pc cooler with fanatics in them. It largely helped the air to without problems cool the pc preserving it jogging easily and at most sensible pace! GL and Hope you experience you HP!
