PC specs good enough for first time build?

I've never built a PC online before and my knowledge on specs are poor. Can someone tell me if these specs are good enough for rendering, video editing and 3D programs. Also are any of the specs a mismatch, what could be improved or what could be made cheaper (e.g. fans)
Thanks guys!

Missing a good name brand 600-650W PSU for that system.... Minimum recommended for a 970 video card is at least a 500W PSU. Get one a bit higher...

Also, a 120GB SSD may be just enough for Windows. Do not install any apps on it, else you will run out of room real quick. It is not large enough for Windows and applications together...

Hey there :)

The plan seems generally good and everything should work perfectly fine together. I'd check the programs that you are using if they are more CPU or GPU intensive as well as if you could use more memory or a better GPU.

If you are going for harder OCing of the CPU it may be a better idea to consider a liquid cooler for the CPU instead of an air one.

The OS usually takes up about 35GB so you'll have around 80GB to install the most demanding applications and games. It would be a good idea, though, to consider a larger SSD. What's the brand and model of the HDD?

Feel free to ask if you happen to have questions :)

This is more than enough to handle programs like Sony Vegas Pro 8 or somethings like that.

I happen to be a computer expert, which almost no one believes.
