Can a Asus M2A-VM board support the new 6 Core processor?

I have the latest BIOS version, and could not find anywhere that would give me this answer. Probably because the processor's too new. I would think it should being that it's a Phenom II, but want to know if anyone's done it with this board.
You will also have to transition to DDR3 RAM if using AM3 motherboards. Sell off your DDR2 sticks on eBay, you should be able to recoup $60 or so.
You could go with a AM2+ socket motherboard to save $10 or so but they are behind the curve in terms of tech and are already getting outdated. I don't recommend AM2+ at this stage.

No, it is an AM2 socket and you need AM3 for the hexcores.
