Hi I'm wondering here but could I wipe my PC Hard drive with lets just say Winternals and then install a Version of Apple MacOS X 10.3 or a later Version???

If this is possible how and better still what would be the best Version of Apple to install?? or is Apple MacOS X 10.3 the best out so far???

Also on the same note as I'm just thinking here... my current PC I have made myself and am wondering if it's possible to make myself a Mac/Apple Computer or if you can just buy them allready made etc... and if I can make myself one how would Igo about it and where could I buy the parts i.e. Motherboard etc...???

Sorry for all the Questions but I'm Very Curious after just seeing a Mac Computer earlier on!!!

Thanks alot..... ^-^'' ...
On that Note Good Night everyone!!! ^-^ ...

The official Mac OS X 10.4.4 or greater does not run on a PC. The main stumbling block is that Macs use an Extended Firmware Interface (EFI) as opposed to the PC BIOS. The former being the BIOS's intended successor. You would therefore have issues booting an un hacked version of Mac OS X. You would need Mac OS X 10.4.4 or greater as this is when Apple added support for x86 processors (commonly found in PCs).

As for building your own Mac, it could be an expensive / complex task. You may have to buy a second hand mac to get the parts.

If your PC is equivalent to Mac spec then there is no reason why not (except Apple of course do not approve this and will not offer you any support).

You would not be able to use OS X 10.3 as this version is for the PPC chip. Instead you will need to use 10.4 (universal) or later.

Really you would be much better purchasing a ready made Mac with all software installed direct from Apple.
