1. Regular cleaning of the case and fans
2. Running the computer on Highest or Reduced (processor performance) to stop revving up and down. This didn't do much, also running the computer at reduced is basically cutting your processor performance in half and the whole reason I got this computer was so that it would be quick.
3. Looked into replacing the fans with quieter fans but only mac brand fans fit so there would be no change in volume.
4. Ran a Thermal Calibration at the Apple Store.
It's been 4 years now, and it is literally driving me insane. I'm thinking of replacing it with a PC that I build myself, so I won't be using OSX anymore. I don't want to run a hackintosh! I don't really want to give this computer up because I love using it. I just HATE the noise. I don't think all G5s are this loud! Please help!
