This Hard Disk is compatible with this motherboard??

Question

I wanna buy a computer that have a 671T-M motherboard
But there is no Hard disk that come with

So I wanna know if my actual hard disk is compatible with this Motherboard

Yes it should be compatible, in the specs tab of the motherboard it says 2 sata devices and 2 ultra dma which is the IDE/PATA interface for your hard disk.

It should work. The HDD looks to be ATA (PATA) and not SATA. I not see the MOBO specs, and I not see SATA connections.

OK I seen the specs and it say 2 SATA connections. So, most any HDD will work.

I never used one of these boards, but, looking at one on Newegg. What you have is 1 ATA plug on board and this the big flat cable we see on HDD's If, you want to add another ATA HDD in the future you need a cable that have 2 HDD connectors and set one HDD as Master and one as slave or set them to Cable Select. You will also have the option to add 2 SATA drives for a total of 4 HDD's. Think about a Power Supply that have the watts to handle future add-ons. I seldom go below 500 watts for a power supply and consider one that have power connectors for both the ATA and SATA HDD's.



I not sure where you looking to buy, and I really not push anyone. The link is Newegg and there 10 reviews on this board. One person mention it run a little hot, so, think of a few extra cooling fans for your case.

Yes the motherboard has 1 ATA port which is capable of controlling 2 ATA (IDE) devices - the motherboard also supports SATA II drives.



Sorry went back and double checked it only has one ata port which isn't a problem especially if your dvd drive will have a sata hook up.
