one of the first things i would do is upgrade the graphics either to a 5770 or a nvidia 560. then i would think about a new slightly better proccesser

i would also upgrade the grapphics to a 5770 or nvidia 560 and upgrade the proccesser to a A8 amd 3850 instead of my A8 3800?

firstly, which one would be a better gaming pc without any of the upgrades, and then which one would be better with all the upgrades.
Also, which cpu is better from either pc without upgrading them ? and then what cpu is better for gaming out of the AMD A8 3850 or the AMD Phenom II X6 1045T?
Thanks in advance,

Without any of the upgrades, the second PC is better, simply because it has a decent and dedicated graphics option. The first has integrated HD 3000, which is about as horrible as you can get besides going with intel's integrated.

Your best option for gaming would be to go with the first computer, upgrade to an HD 6850/70, GTX 560 ti or something in your budget. Don't get the 5770, it's a great card (I have it, love it) but it's two generations old now, and your money will go further with either of the other two suggested.

Then, consider upgrading to a Phenom II quad core if you're only going to be gaming. No game is threaded highly enough to use six cores, most only use one or two, so you're just sitting on extra cores. Either invest in a good PII quad chip and heat sink fan and overclock the heck out of it, or purchase a higher frequency PII quad if you don't plan on overclocking.

You won't be able to upgrade the second one to a phenom chip because it has a different socket type, so keep that in mind.

this one is better, also with the graphics, go the extra mile, and save up for a gtx 580 or hd 7950, these will give you huge preformance boosts, and the cpu shouldn't hugely effect gaming, the only differencebetween the 2 would be about 5 fps, but also just a side note, maybe look into getting a custom built gaming pc. anyway have fun gaming!

The best PC considering all your variables would be the first one with a GTX 560Ti. The Phenom ii x6 is a much better processor than the A8. Bulldozer was a major disappointment. And a GTX 560Ti is a much better video card than a 5770.
