I got a message on my Dell Desktop computer "System Battery Voltage Low". I have never seem such a message on a desktop. I could understand the message if I was using a laptop, and my charger was unplugged. But on a desktop computer? What could it be referring to?

The system battery that keeps things ticking over when the machine is powered down - it is a small battery on the mother board that runs out of puff eventually. Get a new one and replace.

It's referring to your "system" battery. It's a small wafer battery about the size of a quarter. It's the battery that supports the time and bios when your computer is turned off. The message is telling you that it's time to change this battery.
