If you plan to use wireless internet with your distro you should go with Ubuntu. I had a hell of a time trying to get my wireless going with fedora and knoppix so I gave up and went to Ubuntu. Anyhow I believe it runs wine as well as VMware (which is another program you should look up).

debian fedora suse ubuntu free-linspire for the cnr buisness with more on the way but the last time I used it it was a pain to set the first time

I believe wine is setup for all distros and also ntfs should be no problem in all distros maybe except the live ones

any ubuntu based distro is a great place to start

Any distro will support WINE, and (be configured to) read / write NTFS. Not knowing what CNR is, if it is linux, any distro should support it.

Now the ease of using the above is another question!

Ubuntu will solve all of your linux problems.

It's the most user friendly and if you are new to linux you will have almost no trouble settings things up. Wine and CNR work flawless on ubuntu.
