certain games make my computer freeze?

built my own computer on february.everything works well and stuff but wheneber i try to play a game on steam.my computer freezes when im about to play a game.already re downloaded steam and games.so i thought must be something wrong with steam.so i dont use it.heard about a game called war thunder.downloaded and tried to play it.when in launch.my computer froze.so steam and this game freeze my pc.but other games do not freeze my computer.so far i have played .league of legends,world of tanks.ghost recon.hawken.and crysis 3.those games do not freeze my computer.any ideas to what might cause my computer to freeze?

2x4 gb team extreem dark series ram
windows 8 64 bit os

Well, normally there are some games especially newly released ones that has some bugs in it that needs to be fixed through the creation of updates (fix, new cracks etc) and also AMD / NVIDIA usually release new drivers for those games that have these issues.

It could be that the game isnt optimized for windows 8.

Or its gpu drivers arent optimized for that game.
