My PC cannot play avi movies for some reason. I save my avi movies in one folder, but when I go to that folder by explorer, Windows XP just crashes, as if it does not want me to view the contents in that folder. Is there some tweaking I have to do in Windows to make it stop doing this? Or is this a virus?

Use VLC Player. It plays just about any video or music file and I had no problems with it. http://www.videolan.org/vlc/

Plus it takes up barely any space and is fast.

When you go to a folder containing avi files, Windows does tend to hang while trying to display the thumbnails for all the files. It is just bad programming on Windows' part, not an intentional thing to prevent you from viewing avi files. Try to view them as a list instead of thumbnails.

make useful and save it with the aid of going to record and then save action picture record..... no longer save undertaking AS. Saving it as a action picture record facilitates it to be performed in abode windows Media participant, VLC participant, etc. Saving it as a undertaking basically keeps your video saved in abode windows action picture Maker. =)

You probably need the DivX codec. Go to http://www.divx.com and download the codec pack.

Hope this helps.

you are missing the required codec... use Nero 8 to play movies... it works for almost everything
