vista desktop or xp home desktop?

Hello. i have a xp home at the minute and been offered a straight
swap for the vista desktop. the point is do i exchange as i believe
vista is the way forward. all advice will be grateful of the does and don't. so what do you think? thank you all in advance.

some ppl just answer without trying vista. if you get xp, you'll soon see the blandness. get vista. besides microsoft is gonna stop making updates for xp soon...

Vista uses more system resources and many people are switchin back to XP due to all the probs with Vista. That's probably why you're being offered the trade. Also depends on the computer specs.

Vistas is awful. I has loads of limits that you can do on xp. I have it, you can get by with it but xp is much better

you can get vista but prepare for some maintenance because its really clunky its like microsoft just focused on the graphics and not the Performance of the software but if you want Performance get xp. personally i wouldn't get any if you want goo graphics and Performance get ubuntu that's what i have but that's a whole other thing

if you aint got 2 gb+ ram and a 256mb+ video card heck no because itll be real slow you need more than reccomended specs to be able to run vista as fast as ur xp is now.

vista suck!

I have VISTA and XP, and i think that XP is far better.



w8 for the VISTA update and then get it, until then is not worth it

i would go with windows vista because it has more thingey mobes on it i would go with it.
