after installing the M2N68-LA Motherboard BIOS Update from: http://h10025.www1.hp.com/ewfrf/wc/softwareDownloadIndex?softwareitem=pv-55440-1&cc=de&lc=en&dlc=en&product=3397528&dlc=de&lang=en , the pc won't boot. i press the power button and it starts up and says:

"Award BootBlock BIOS v1.0
Copyright (c) 2000, Award Software Inc.

BIOS ROM checksum error

Detecting IDE ATAPI device ...
Found CDROM, try to Boot from it ... Fail

Detecting floppy drive A media...
INSERT SYSTEM DISK AND PRESS ENTER". After i put the recovery disk in and restarted, the screen says:

"No physical memory is available at the location required for the windows boot manager. The system can not continue."

reset your cmos

- use the cmos resaet jumper on your motherboard - just put the jumper across pins 2 and 3 rather than 1 or 2 for 30 secs or so

change it back and boot

or take out the bios battery for a while - that works too

failing all of these youl need to create a bios disc from another pc - download the bios for your mobo (an earlier version methinks :P) and follow the instructions

if u dont understand the thank you to define the jumper on your motherboard that resets the bios and or password, run your abode windows set up disk from abode windows and choose the alternative that asserts, and it will ask you to reboot after it copys some setup records from the disk. u wont desire the bios password.
