Question:
PC turns itself off...what component would be the problem?

My pc has turned itself off, on and off again for a few months. It usually happens when I'm playing a game. So, I've googled my problems and it seems that it's either my CPU/Graphics Card/motherboard that may be the problem.

I have downloaded a programme called everest, which has shown me my temperatures. I am not so good at working out what goes inside a pc, only know how to work one :-)

I have put the results in here if anyone would be kind to help. I would just like to know, which component I should buy to stop this problem. I've even kept the side off the pc, to let some air in. (I'm also on my pc quite a lot).

there's a bios putting that enables you to potential on and potential off your pc at particular circumstances. Press F2 to get into setup at the same time as your pc first boots. search for potential concepts or some thing like that. I have a Dell XPS400 and it has that individual same appropriate characteristic the purely reason i comprehend of that is because I used to apply it.

Can you see a lot of fluff on your motherboard? if so shutdown and clean it off and away from the cooling fans.

Have you checked to see if you have the latest driver files for your machine, Go to your machines makers site and select support & downloads there look for and D/L any and all the latest driver files for your system and machine.

Also check on the web for the latest updates for your OS

Check your registry for errors and correct where required.

I don't think it is a component as such but data error or incorrect software. IMHO

Based on this quote "It usually happens when I'm playing a game.", I would say the graphics card.

If possible, have it checked before you make an unnecessary purchase.

if this usually happens when you just start playing game it`s mean this your power supply problem which is not supporting so far,

but almost if your computer turn off it self while operating any thing on pc that`s mean you will have to change your RAM
