Missing desktop icons?

My dad went on computer the other day an this thing came up sayin 'store desktop icon to make computer faster' or summit like that..so he pressed it an few other icons went missin. They werent deleted jus stored an i dont kno were to get 'em back..what do i do??

Calm down. Go onto My Computer, or Hard Drive, depending on your OS, that I don't know. Either way, access your program files and open the folder marked with the names of the programs you want to put back on your desktop. Drag and drop the ACTUAL PROGRAM ICON onto the desktop, and it will ask you if you want to create a shortcut. say yes, and the link will function normally.

Microsoft is having an automatic provision to accumulate all those seldom used desktop shortcuts to a named folder "UNUSED DESKTOP ICONS". Check it out if you could see any folder appearing on your desktop. Double click that folder and get those shortcut icons back.

Bueno windows tiene una forma de ocultar los iconos.



es con un clic derecho en el escritorio, en la opción "Organizar Iconos" luego en "Mostrar Iconos en el escritorio".



En dado caso de que los haya borrado, pues en la papelera de reciclaje.



O pudieron ser borrados con Shift + delete que los borra totalmente.



En dado caso tendrás que rehacerlos.



Pero tiene razón tu padre, esos iconos estorban y retrasan las funciones, mejor crea iconos de Inicio rápido, que son los que se ponen al lado de la barra de inicio de Windows.

they were removed, store means that the applications or files were not deleted just the shortcuts were deleted
