right lets get this into your head now
NO USB DONGLES INTERNAL PCI WIRELESS ONLY

the reason being is i literally am fumbling about with the many devices i have in the ports so a dongle will mean removing one device from the port and plugging the dongle in go on the internet say what i have to then do the same in reverse. so a PCI wireless card is necessary, seeing as when it goes in, it stay in, and i know i have a few PCI lanes free.

do you have any ideas on what sort of wireless card i should be looking at? please share them, but any dongle answers will be ignored.

lolol, everybody says to get the latest and greatest, Wireless N Standard. WHAT IF the internet speed you purchased doesn't go any faster than B or G?? The rest is wasted money..

I bought one dlink card and it shitthebed so i won't buy any more of them. I use Belkin or Linksys with no problems, but Cisco / 3Com are the best if money is not an issue.

Belkin does things weird in that they require you to install the software drivers first, shut the machine down and then install the card. It's backwards but it does work.

PCI wireless is OK if you want portability/no cables over speed. Wireless is a slower connection, and it also depends on how far the card is from the router and the density of materials the signal has to pass through from card to router and back again.

Your instantaneous router will in all probability have a Idle Timeout, the place it drops the information superhighway connection after a era of inactiveness. take a glance on the router configuration settings to make sure if this has replaced when you consider that your capacity shrink.
